1. Are your reef layouts made from natural rock or ceramic?
Our layouts are handcrafted primarily from real natural ocean rock. Ceramic materials may be used internally for structural support when needed, but the visible structure remains natural for the best aesthetics and biological performance.

2. Why choose natural ocean rock over ceramic rock?
Natural ocean rock offers authentic texture, natural porosity, and bacteria-friendly surfaces, helping your reef establish faster. Corals encrust more naturally, coralline algae develops better, and the tank matures with a more realistic reef appearance compared to fully ceramic structures.

3. Is natural ocean rock safe for reef tanks?
Yes. All rocks are properly cleaned, processed, and reef-safe. When cured correctly, natural ocean rock is safe for fish, corals, and invertebrates.

4. Will natural rock cause pests or hitchhikers?
Natural rock can occasionally carry hitchhikers, which is why we carefully inspect and prepare each piece. Many reef keepers also view beneficial hitchhikers as a positive part of a natural reef ecosystem.

5. Are your layouts suitable for SPS and high-flow tanks?

Absolutely. Our bonsai reef layouts are designed with open structure, allowing strong flow, even light distribution, and optimal space for SPS growth and long-term coral health.

6. Can I request a custom layout?
Yes. We offer custom bonsai reef layouts based on your tank size, coral type, and flow preferences. Each piece is uniquely handcrafted — no two layouts are the same.

7. Is the layout ready to use out of the box?
Layouts are shipped structurally complete and coral-ready. Depending on your system, additional curing may be recommended before placing livestock.

8. Do you ship nationwide?
Yes, we ship within the U.S. Packaging is designed to keep the structure secure during transit. Shipping cost depends on size and weight.

9. Why are your layouts priced higher than ceramic options?
